National ECYD-RC High School Boys Convention - Why We Fight: the Battle of Prayer
Join us at this year’s national convention for loads of fun, sports, brotherhood, and deepening in our ECYD and RC charism! The participants at Why We Fight this year delve into the meaning and structure of prayer, with training and practice in the primary forms of prayer - vocal, meditative, and contemplative. Participants will leave with a personalized battle plan for daily prayer, enriched by the specific courses offered during the convention: Prayer Etiquette, The Four ECYD Prayer Practices, Prayer Together: the Encounter & Spiritual Direction, and Praying the Holy Mass.
Who: Rising 9th – 12th grade high school boys
Dates: July 19-25, 2024
Location: Camp River Ridge, 6145 Harvey Branch Rd, Oldenburg, IN
Convention Fee:
- Participant $700
- Adult Chaperone (invitation only) $250
- ECYD Missionary (invitation only) $599
Application Deposit: A $150 non-refundable deposit must be paid to be considered for attending this convention
Final Payment: Is due by July 1, 2024
If you plan to fly to Atlanta, please note the following:
- Flight must arrive at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
- Flight Arrival: between 2 pm and 5 pm
- Flight Departure: 12 pm - earliest departure time
- Please be aware that participants may have to wait for some time in the airport to facilitate group pick-up and departure.
- All those that are required to fly as unaccompanied minor due to age only, Fr Jerek Scherber LC will be picking up from the airport

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: CREATE ACCOUNT / LOGIN - You must create an account and login to view and complete the online application forms below.
STEP 2: COMPLETE REGISTRATION AND PAY DEPOSIT - Complete the online registration forms, and pay the non-refundable $150 deposit online via debit card, credit card, or PayPal. (Your registration will not be considered until the deposit is paid.)
STEP 3: CONFIRMATION - You will receive a response to your registration within 1-2 weeks to confirm your spot!
STEP 4. COMPLETE REGISTRATION FEE - You will receive a link to go back into your account to pay the remaining balance of the registration fee.
